I Didn’t Know Where to Begin
I am a packrat. However, my burning desire is to someday have a place for everything
and everything in its place. The transformation from packrat to organized person
is surprisingly personal and painful. I finally realized that I needed professional
help. Fortunately, Theresa has years of experience working with people just like
me who have had unfulfilled aspirations for a clutter-free life, but whose habits
are long-standing, and the reasons for the behavior are emotional. She is patient,
compassionate, hard-working, upbeat and a superb listener. Her approach is practical,
gentle, and thorough. Thanks to Theresa, several spaces in my house have been redefined,
and what is very encouraging is that I am beginning to see the day when I will be
able to manage my "stuff" on my own.
I Loved the Organization “Toolkit”
I would recommend [An Uncluttered Mind] completely to help organize a room, a house,
even work areas in a business. When they come into a home to help organize, they
first seek to really understand what the person wants and what is important to that
person. Their second step is to provide ideas. For me, trying to organize my family
room was a challenge. They helped me to really figure out what I wanted to do in
that room. Then we worked together to make one place for each thing I wanted to
do, whether that be a sewing area, a craft area, or a reading area. I am so happy
with my family room. And those tools have been indispensable in other rooms of my
house.
A Potential Nightmare Averted
After the death of a relative I unwillingly became the personal representative of
the estate. I was faced with the task of not only taking care of the memorial service
and financial matters but also distributing and liquidating her personal property.
My relative was a bit of a recluse. Imagine my surprise to find that she was a hoarder
for many years. I had a full time job, a small business and was desperate. I did
not have any spare time. I was looking for a miracle and then I found one; An Uncluttered
Mind. After a few days, An Uncluttered Mind rid the residence of those items that
did not have value, organized movers, arranged the details for storage and cleaned
the residence until it sparkled. Their professionalism and project management skills
surpassed all my expectations. They are totally awesome!!
